Alexa Lost My Blog Reviews?

Well from the comments it seems like an error but if not I had another thought. Do reviews expire, blogs can change over time so maybe they expired.

Today there was an update of Alexa toolbar.. not sure, but maybe even yesterday.

Maybe that is the reason?

I posted two messages on their help forums, and the missing reviews were quickly restored (after someone reviewed them to be sure they were not spam or otherwise violating the rules). Someone named Greg replied to me and said that he agreed there was no reason they should have disappeared, and said that he was restoring them and filing a bug report. So just go on over to the forums and ask to have them back! (The more data they have, the more likely they are to be able to fix the problem so it doesn't happen again.)

My reviews are gone too. What's really happening? I guess we can reaffirm from the comments that something's wrong. Anyone any idea?

I just wrote my review a few days a go and today I loss my review on alexa. I thought it because I'm the only reviewer for my blog, lol! But from your article I think there is something wrong with alexa review. What do you think?

The Alexa.com reviews are working, so it might be the missing reviews were removed for TOS violations.

I have no idea what the violations are because of course I never read their TOS. I'm "assuming", for example, that I would not be able to write a review for Blog Engage because I have posts bookmarked there.

The reason for this is spam. It happens. Through the years you get fans of your site that are excited to give a review.... and will even give anonymous or ones with assumed names.

Or, it might be a glitch. Who knows...these are just some guesses.

I will go over and give your site a review myself. I actually needs some...lol. But I am not too concerned as long as I can go view my site's progress there.

Wow, glad I stopped by, they lost mine too. whew thought it was just mine. So it's good to know, yet discouraging. I posted on their forum as it had a similar thread from a while back. I noticed where they restored them b4 so hopefully they will again. I encourage others to go to the thread and post comments similar to here as well. Thanks DB.

I had five (or more) and now I have three - not sure what's going on really, though it's nice to know its not just me.

My Alexa Review is still there completely -- but i think it is because my alexa review is quite low.

Oh wow, I can't even log in to Alexa right now. I even tried logging in with FaceBook and it won't let me. I'm going look at the reviews for Blog Engage too (without logging in). I'll brb...

I've lost a few as well, mine has gone down to 7, maybe Alexa has some sort of filter running to clean out reviews!

Justin, I just checked mine and it was fine. Of course I only have two reviews so don't know what's going on. Hope you figure it out soon.
