What do you want from your portable device and I will make a decision. I mean for blogging, reading websites, newspapers, watching movies an iPad is fine since you can purchase an external keyboard and there is a WordPress application. I think it can run Google Docs too, but the lack of true multitasking and having multiple windows/applications open at the same time being able to switch back and forth can be a killer for those who multitask constantly.

Soon I need to make the decision of either getting a laptop or an iPad.. Is that silly? Are they really that comparable?? I would love an iPad but will it do everything a laptop will do? I value your opinion, DragonBlogger, so please reply. Thank you!!

I can’t wait for this. We have to wait a little longer for the iPad here in Australia, but it would appear the ibook store will be coming here after all – so that’s a huge bonus!
