Are You feeding Your Sites Their Daily Dose of SEO?
When people build a website, the first thing that worries them the most is the look and feel of the website.
Sure, dedicating some quality time to develop or choose a good theme for your site is of the essence, but once you have a good layout in place, it is time to move on and give real life to your website.
Some people spend days, weeks and even months tweaking the look of their site or simply trying to implement “quick” promotion tactics to get some traffic fast.
However, what they do not realize is that every day that goes by without feeding your website with a good portion of SEO is another day you will have to remain working round the clock to keep the flow of traffic.
You see, SEO is something that usually does not render immediate results, although if you use some tactics like the ones outlined in courses like Google Sniper you may get faster results, but for a limited number of keywords and only in niches with little or no competition.
The core of these tactics is in the use of “keyword domains” along with some on-page optimization strategies that enhance the relevance of your website for a particular search term.
This will grant you a few uniques per day from Google and the other search engines, but since you would be focusing on very specific niches the volume of searches would never be that great nor would be the traffic you get.
Feeding SEO to your website is a slow process that will not flood you with traffic overnight, but it is a surefire method toward building a solid and lasting stream of visitors.
Therefore, if you are looking to rank high for many keywords, thus enabling your website receive hundreds or even thousands of uniques per day, you need to consistently do at least two things:
1.- Build quality backlinks every day
You can use the old techniques like article submission, directory submission, etc, these still work, but do not forget to look for the edge by seeking other sources of backlinks, such as content networks or three way links services. Just make sure not one day goes by without you getting a new link for your site.
2.- Add fresh and original keyword diverse content frequently
This serves two purposes:
First, it tells the search engines that your site should be crawled more frequently, this is believed to have an impact in you Google rankings (in my experience it does); second, it increases the number of keywords that you can start ranking for and thus the chances of getting found more frequently in the first page of the search engines.
Therefore, go ahead and feed you websites with a daily dose of good SEO and you will see how you start getting steady targeted traffic that will last and keep on growing, without the need for any fancy tricks or quick fixes that usually do not work.
