BlogWorld New Media Expo 2010
BlogWorld & New Media Expo 2010 will be at the Mandalay Bay Convention in Las Vegas this year on October 14th though 16th. Unfortunately it is with great regret that I will not be able to attend as I had originally wanted to this year.
I have commitments in Vegas in November for another item and was just in Vegas back in May for CA World 2010. I also had said that to attend BlogWorld my blog earnings would have to be able to cover the expense, and the cost of admission is over $800 for full attendance to the show. Though you can just get access to the exhibition booths for $35, if I were to attend BlogWorld & New Media Expo 2010 I would want to see the presentations, attend the conferences and listen to the giants in the industry in person.
I do think that if you are a blogger and you really want to take your blog to the next level and network with other bloggers, this is a pivotal and critical event for you to attend. This is the best place to network with the top dogs, and learn from the pros in person, pick peoples brains and just do some good old fashioned in person networking. People will remember who you are, put a name and a blog to a face…etc.
If blogging was my primary job and not just a secondary hobby for me, I would never miss an event like this and it would be on the top of my list of things to do annually. I think if you attend an event like this and network with other bloggers you can probably gain a 6 month boost on reputation, socialization and recognition.
Before you attend BlogWorld & New Media Expo 2010 you should make sure you have the following things which I consider mandatory:
- Business cards promoting your blog (at least 200+)
- T-Shirts promoting your sites, wear them and have your friends wear them if you aren’t going alone. (This is one of those events where you need to promote).
- Business proposal and website information handy. Have brochures, packets. Be ready to have your site described to people in 2 sentences or less. What it is you are doing, what are you trying to accomplish and how you stand out or plan to from others.
Be prepared to network and learn from other bloggers and industry leaders. This is your chance to get noticed and if you attend you should visit and be a part of every event possible.

I've always wanted to go to these things, but couldn't for one reason or another; very frustrating.
First cash flow issues, now the same with the added injury issues I have.
Of course, the whole Vegas thing don't help. LOL
