Typically when wanting to unfollow nonfollowers you don't want the people you just followed cause you want to give them time to follow you back.On another note, how stable is your web server platform? How much traffic do you think you can handle / API calls to Twitter before it buckles? Is it ready to be promoted and potentially ramp up or will it just collapse under the weight of a surge in traffic?
