In Arizona we all know that Ceiling fan’s help lower your air conditioning bill, by having a ceiling fan in almost every room you can keep the thermostat up a few degrees which greatly reduces your electric bill every month. But Ceiling fans can also reduce your heating bill in the winter by working the same way. All ceiling fans have a switch or a pull cord which reverse the direction the fan blades spin, so that instead of drawing air upward, they can reverse and push air downward. This allows them to push the warm air (remember warm air rises) downward back at the floor which helps keep you feeling warmer. This allows you to turn your thermostat down a few degree’s and still feel just as warm. So if you have ceiling light fixtures in your house without ceiling fan’s, I recommend you replace the ceiling lights with ceiling fans + lights so that you can gain the benefit of a ceiling fan.

PS: It is not hard to install a ceiling fan, I have lived in two houses over the past 6 years and have installed one ceiling fan in every room, for a total of like 20 ceiling fans in the last 6 years.
