I hadn’t actually taken much of a look at customizing the CommentLuv plugin before, I normally just installed it and registered on ComLuv.com and let it do its thing. However, Holly over at It’s All a Matter of Perspective wrote about CommentLuv and an option in the plug-in that allows you to customize the display of the comments so that instead of the normal:
![]()
You can customize the text to say something more unique about your commenter’s last post, an example is how Holly configured hers here:
![]()
I encourage you to read more on how to Configuring CommentLuv Display Options with included screen prints and great feedback go ahead and read Holly’s post and let her know that you heard about her article from DragonBlogger.

I never really put much thought into customizing the the Comment Luv plugin, but maybe now I should pop on over to my blog and make it that little bit more personal

Justin, thank you! I went out for a few hours to see Avatar with my son (it was good enough he’s ALMOST forgiven them for “stealing” the name from the anime TV series that has NOTHING to do with this movie). I opened my email and found this!
Andy’s working on an option that lets you customize the pop-up’s background color, too. It’s already implemented over at the ComLuv.com blogs.

I have commentluv on one of my blogs, and it’s great for “meeting” my readers, but I do seem to get a lot of spam, too. Do you have a filter or are you just extra vigilant about deleting spam links?

I get tons of spam, Akismet doesn’t get all of it so I just try to block the rest of the ones that end in pending manually.

I love Akismet! I try to glance through my caught spam to make sure no real comments were tagged as spam, and I also have to spam a couple comments that slip through. But mostly it’s an awesome way to avoid the obnoxious link spam.
