Enough people have contacted me and informed me of the pro’s and con’s for using Captcha to protect their wordpress blog from spam comments. I had already been using the Akismet plugin. I decided to install the WP-Spamfree plugin as well and let both work in tandem. The main reason why I decided not to install Captcha was most people felt the number of comments would decrease and many people hate having to use Captcha. I agree with some of them, I noticed there is something new called Captcha-2 which requires you to pick a letter or number out of an image with the mouse instead of having to type something, but it isn’t a free plug-in, that might have been something a little easier if it would have been a free plug-in.

Thanks to all of my readers for sharing their thoughts and opinions on Catpcha, Akismet, WP-Spamfree and comment spam in general.
