Dragon Blogger April 2010 Blog Earnings
Well, I finally tallied my earnings report on the weekend to go along with my monthly traffic report that I published yesterday. Overall DragonBlogger.com earned a fair amount more in April 2010 than I did in March 2010 but still only about half of what I earned in January.
Once again SocialSpark is my highest earning source for my blogs overall for the month of April, this is no surprise and SocialSpark is often the single highest earning source for my blogs. I was able to make $29 from my poetry blog this month between SocialSpark and PayPerPost which is nice as I generally don’t take very many opps from my poetry blog. This was my first complete month using MyLikes.com and I earned 14.56 in my first full month using the program, this combined with the $10.83 I earned from SponsoredTweets means I made just over $25 just from my Twitter account in a single month. This isn’t bad and I was happy to see that I now have 2 decent Twitter earning programs.
I also have to point out that April 2010 was my highest AdSense earnings month ever in almost two years. $46.72 and last month were the highest AdSense earnings and I only reached these earnings after tweaking how my AdSense was laid out on my blog. I switched to 350×200 ad blocks on the bottom of the posts and to a wide skyscraper in the middle right of my site. Since switching from the 468×90 banners to the 350×200′s my earnings have just about doubled these last two months from AdSense.
My goal was always to reach $100 per month in AdSense and I am getting close to half way to reaching my goal. Overall I am nowhere near where I want to be with blog earnings, I was targeting $500 per month by December 2009 and fell short of this goal, my new goal for 2010 was to try and hit $1000 in a single month earnings by December 2010 but it isn’t looking likely. I still need to get my blog more reach, more audience and higher pagerank if I am going to be able to entice bigger advertisers and make more money.
Though I am working on my eBook and hopefully when I release that for sale it will help bolster my earnings a bit.
