Now I never thought I would be the type of person who would put a snapshot of my PayPal account on my blog like other bloggers do, but I am doing it now:Â (My PayPal account only collects blog earnings and I drain it every month to re-purpose the money to bills, debt or whatnot)

In just 13 months of blogging I have managed to meet my goal of reaching $500 dollars earnings in a single month, I earned a total of $502.43 this month and $378.25 of it was from my flagship blog DragonBlogger.com

By far SocialSpark has been my best earning program for two months in a row, I am honored to have qualified for some huge paying opportunities. The best thing is that I earned $378.25 on DragonBlogger.com by doing only 5 paid blog posts. While my personal blog which earned $75 dollars from PayU2Blog I had to write 13 blog posts to make that income. So when it comes to saving time I made a far higher dollar per hour ratio from DragonBlogger.com.
One thing to note, this was not the first month a company has hired me for a direct paid post, but it was the highest I have earned from such a direct contact at $100, and I also wrote a paid articles for another blog that earned me $10. In addition to my income earnings from paid blogging assignments, my AdSense earned $37.15 this month which is 30% higher than my $22 average I had been running the last few months. I attribute this mostly to getting a nearly 40% increase in blog traffic in the past two weeks due to the NBC Heroes reviews that I do.
My friends, I only blog about 20 hours per week and do it part time as a hobby, I ignore 75% of the posts I qualify for on PayPerPost, SocialSpark and other sites, I don’t do any $5 posts on anything except my Personal Blog anymore. If I wanted to, I could have easily done another 10 posts for another $50 but I have to be more efficient with my time. AssociatedContent and Helium (not listed) both earned me about $2 and $3 respectively in pageview performance.
I don’t expect to keep this string of earnings up, my monthly averages are around $200 – $250, but having this month break $500 and last month break $400 has me figuring I must be doing something right if I am starting to get opps and advertisers willing to compensate me these sums. I am just an average IT guy who picked up blogging as a hobby, and I am positive that if I was able to earn this income then anyone with a passion for blogging has that potential. All it takes is drive and some motivation and lots and lots of time writing quality content and then promoting it.

I really got lucky this month, I don’t normally qualify for such high end opps on SocialSpark, so I really can’t say it is my blogging skill that earned me this. It is mostly luck.

You must have been extremely lucky to get such well paid tasks for a PR2 blog. I’ve been doing paid posts for years, and the most I’ve earned in a week was about $600, and that was when I had PR4 blogs. Even then the highest paid task was $45.
I still do it occasionally. I can’t seem to get into PayU2Blog any more and I can’t contact them to find out why. No biggie though as I was getting tired of their repetitive tasks.
The amount offered at Payperpost is pretty dismal thses days, and while I have had some luck with SocialSpark, nothing remarkable.
Anyway, congratulation on those stats, and I hope that you do manage to beat them this month.

I know with PR4 and above you can get some good SponsoredReviews, I can’t get anything there with a PR2. The reason why my blog can qualify for some good SocialSpark opps is I am under 200 RealRank, due to my traffic visitor volume. SocialSpark is the only system which values the RealRank and you can qualify for some good opps by having a lot of unique visits, even if you have a low PageRank. PayPerPost Version 4 does pretty well if you have a PR3 and above blog I hear.

Who said something about a blog convention with free drinks? I’m in, so please host it in Europe somewhere
Congrat’s on the nice numbers, very nice numbers indeed. You have like 3 times as many unique visitors as me but you’re making 45 times as much money – somebody must be using cheat codes
I’d love to hear more about that $100 direct paid post you did, if you got any feedback from the company afterwards? I assume they would have liked some targeted traffic etc? Feel free to e-mail me directly if you care to share some intel (otherwise I must try and pull a Matt Parkman…)

Without going into too much detail the company hired me to help promote their service, the money covers two blog posts and active promotion and support. Since I enjoyed the product and service, I had already written about it for free previously and the company enjoyed my free post so much and my knowledge and expertise in the online IT and software market they wanted to hire me to do some work for them.

BTW, I just read a blogger who made over 16k last month from less than 9000 unique visits, not sure if its legit, but makes me feel dumbstruck: http://www.gathersuccess.com/hits-report/gathersuccess-sep-2009-hits-report

I am not jumping on every opportunity, as mentioned I only did 3 paid posts for SocialSpark, I could have done probably 10-12 if I wanted to do every $5 dollar opp I qualified for. Being choosy is sometimes better.

Nice stats and income. You say you spend only 20 hours, could you spend another 5? If you could then you could do more paid posts, increase your income.

I could, but as mentioned I am choosy about what I promote, I could easily have done another $50 in SocialSpark and $20 in PayPerPost V3 opps had I wanted. So if you are less choosy you could make more, something I need to get better at is affiliate marketing, that is where the real money is online.

hi, justin! congrats! me too. I was skeptical to post my paypal screenshot. It feels weird. Anyway, it’s a proof that you really did receive those amounts.
Anyway, my best site is Blogsvertise. I don’t get much from Social spark. I also received some direct posts, but only cost 10bux. hihi.
One of my earnings is from TLA, and I’m loving it. Check out my earnings here.
