I honestly barely had any time to blog this month my friends and fans and all of my spare time just went into making sure I had 1 new and original article every day on dragonblogger.com.

As a result of my day job consuming 60 hours a week lately, I had to be very choosy and turn down many PayPerPost offers to my blogs merely because I didn’t have the time to do them.

As a result of this though March 2010 was my lowest earnings month from blogging since I first started blogging back in August 2008, and the $136.21 I earned was my lowest single month earnings in the last twelve months.

I do also realize that most bloggers would be tickled and happy earning this amount blogging and the fact of the matter is, I blog for fun as a hobby so to be able to earn my entire year’s web hosting fee in one month is a huge plus to me.

So here is my blogging income for the month of March 2010:
blogearnings Dragon Blogger Earnings for March 2010

Some things to point out here, in the 2nd week of March I Optimized AdSense Ads for DragonBlogger.com and as a result I had my earnings jump from $13.15 in February 20010 from AdSense to $35.30 in March 2010. This was an almost 200% earnings increase from AdSense just by tweaking the size, placement and colors of my AdSense ads on my site.

SocialSpark once again is my highest earning blog program for the month and I earned $70 from only doing 3 sponsored posts, one on each of my blog for the month.

SponsoredTweets earned me just over $8 and almost half of this was just from referral earnings, I have over forty people who signed up under me and I earn .10 – .60 cents commisions on their sponsoredtweets which helps boost my earnings higher.

I also include my performance earnings from Associated Content, as I invested the time to write and publish almost 200 haiku’s and assorted articles, it earms me between $2 and $2.50 a month in just performance earnings.

Last but not least I want to tell my fans about MyLikes.com, I wrote about how I started to earn money with MyLikes I only signed up for the program 4 days before the end of March and earned over $5 in only 4 days of using the program. I can easily see myself being able to earn an additional $15 – $20 per month with MyLikes in April and I intend to really see how much I can earn with the program.

In Summary

Even though my March 2010 earnings were the lowest in over a year for me, I still managed to earn quite a bit compared to many blogs online and I attribute this to my blogging methods and all of the top companies that pay you to blog that I have signed up with and use over the months.

Realisically, I am no mega blogger and anyone who is a dedicated blogger has the potential to make or exceed my earnings with some hard work. But I want to honestly tell my readers that the real way to make money with your blog or website is to sell products, whether it be making commission on affiliate sales or selling a product or service you create, getting a commission from a sale will yield your more income in the long run than doing paid blog posts here and there. This is just my opinion from reading bloggers who have shown to make over $1000 per month from their blogs by selling commissionjunction products, or their own services as web designers, bloggers, theme makers or even blogging services.

How did my fellow bloggers do for March 2010? Share your earning stories with me and I will be happy to post them here and link back to you.

Other Bloggers Posting about Earnings:

Ms. Freeman from Freeman Legacy LLC reports her income for March 2010 being a total of $194.17. See what programs worked for her, it is a great article that might give you some idea’s on new tactics and services to try.

To prove my point about the real way to earn money is to sell a product or service is Atniz, who brought in over $1300 in a single month and most of it was selling a backlink service in addition to hundreds from direct ad sales and even a sizable earnings from Ad.ly.

Greg Ellison did a fine job summarizing income reports from bloggers throughout the internet and included my own. He found and posted traffic income reports from 13 other blogs so you can quickly and easily see how much bloggers are earning.
