Dragon Blogger Earnings and Statistics For November 2008

Posted by: dragonblogger  //  Category: blogging

Decided to simplify how I report my statistics and earnings as well as simplify what I measure for future releases.

In November 2008 Dragonblogger.com earned a total of $85 dollars on its own, some of it from SocialSpark and most of it from PayU2Blog.  I only count money that was paid into my account, not opportunities taken, so the opps I did for PayPerPost in November don’t pay out until December and will count in December’s totals.  All in all between both my personal blog and Dragonblogger, I made about $150 for the month of November.

I only had 2 new backlinks according to blogsearch.google.com but added 10,000 links according to Link Popularity Check.  These are through various social sites like Technorati, WhereIStand, Zimbio, StumbleUpon…etc.  Bottom line is my link is growing and my traffic is growing as well.

I had 9674 unique visits for the month of November, with an average of 322 per day according to Google Analytics.    So my primary blog is doing pretty well, this is after my blog was first created on August 23rd 2008.  So really 3 months and 1 week old this blog was and collected these numbers, I consider myself rapidly approaching success.

My idea of a successful blogger is when you reach your target goals or exceed them and you are happy blogging and happy with the audience you are getting.  My goals are being met overall for my blogs, maybe not the number of backlinks, but they are steady increasing and my readers are generally happy with what I write, my reviews of movies, software, TV Shows and other stuff.  Dragon Blogger is more than just a web site/blog to me.  It is my brand, my image and I want it to stand for something, people go and read what Dragon Blogger wrote because I give an honest impartial view of what I write about.

My goals for December are to make at least $100 from this blog and also to break the 20,000 LPC link mark.  I also would like to have 10,000 unique visits for the month.  I am going to focus on promoting through social networks and continuing to learn new ways to reach an audience.

Jeannette = Good job with the hyperlink. I’m still a newbie too and I’m always learning something new and saying to myself, “Now why didn’t someone teach me that.” Technocrats create obstacles to every day folks using new technologies but techno-advocates like me (and hopefully you) build bridges of understandability between the average person and new technology!
