Dragon Blogger Makes Some Money Blogging

Posted by: dragonblogger  //  Category: Internet, blogging

This post is to let all my fellow blogger’s out there that anyone who puts some effort and hard work into your blog can bring in some income.  My blog first started on August 21st 2008, and currently I have a total of $34.75 earned that are in pending status.  $27.50 of this is from Sponsored or Paid Posts at this point, I haven’t received any advertiser dollars yet.  The remainder is a small trickle from my Google Adsense ads on my site.

I also have another $20 in paid posts in my pending that I need to bang out, I am quite sure that in my 1st month of running a blog my blog will have a net earning of around $50.00.  Not bad for my 1st month with my blog right?

That being said I have to recommend the 2 sites which are the only ones I have earned income so far:

SocialSpark – If you can qualify for a sponsorship and jump on it early, you are guaranteed to get paid for writing the post.  I was able to qualify and get 2 sponsored posts from SocialSpark.

PayU2Blog – This is a site where you don’t have to compete against other bloggers to “BID” or Jump on opportunities.  You are given an assignment list of posts to create, and you MUST write posts about them.  The payment is guaranteed and is typically $5 per post of 60+ words which is very reasonable.  I have received 7 $5 assignments so far, and I have completed 3 of them yesterday, 4 left to complete.

Here are some tips for my fellow bloggers who are looking to make money with your blog:

Entrecard your blog, drop 200+ drops per day on people, find people who have “Drop U Back, or Drop for Life” links where you know they will pay you back with drops.

Join Social Spark, Zimbio, forums…etc and promote your blog like mad.  Submit your articles.

Write high quality posts that keep people coming to your site, your site cannot be all paid posts.  I am trying to have 75% quality posts, and only %25 total sponsored posts.

Category your posts, This tip comes from Damien Riley.  I created a category called “Consumerism” and all paid posts fall in this category. This lets you easily tally and see how may of your posts were paid posts later on.

Good Luck making some money with your blog my friends.

PS:  I am still looking for other sites and tips, I have not gotten anything with SponsoredReviews.com and my blog for some reason is still pending on PayPerPost.  What other services do my fellow bloggers use out there to make some money with their blog?

  • Update:

HowieCopyWriter writes that he made $100 in his first year of blogging, read his writing and he throws a little review of my blog as well.
