I’m taking the family to watch it today. Abigail (my 7 year old daughter) is also bringing along 3 of her friends so in between fetching more popcorn or drinks I hope I see enough of the film to pass judgement.

I was pleasantly suprised by how good the film was, it was much more enjoyable than I expected and the grim morbid humor felt like I was watching a Tim Burton film such as Corpse Bride or Nightmare Before Christmas.

I really liked your review and agreed with it. There were some moments that were a little frightening for kids under say “8″ or so. After all though, it is at its core a ghost story right?
