Dragon Blogger Review of Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs
Posted by: dragonblogger // Category: Movie ReviewsI want to say that I go to movies with the intent of losing myself in the films and not comparing reality or “what really happened” unless the film is a documentary. So when I went to see Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs I didn’t care that there really were no dinosaurs and mammals living during the same time frame. The film itself was fast paced, chaotic and downright fun from the beginning in my opinion. John Leguizamo is still one of the best characters in the movie as Sid the Sloth and continues to steal the show with the baby T-rexes during the film.
My kids sat still the entire movie and my two year old and five year old were laughing on and off the entire movie which just shows how much they enjoyed it. Besides the cast from Ice Age 2, they introduced a few new characters including a weasel named “Buck” who was trapped in the “Lost World” and his borderline insanity make for some of the funnest moments in the film.
If you enjoyed the previous two Ice Age films then you will probably enjoy the third as it has more humor and excitement than the previous ones and keeps the kids entertained. I personally thought it was just as good and will be buying the film when it comes to DVD. I would give Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs 3.5 out of 5 stars.

I so ice age 3 too this weekend with my daughter. I thought it was good two, it was everything I thought it would be. I think Buck stole the show…he was a great character..I wonder if he will be back in ice age 4?

Great review. I think we will see it but not in 3-d. I saw the Hangover and liked it. NOT for kids. I also saw Harry Potter. That was a real loser imho. Then again, I don’t read the books soo.

Harry Potter series gets considerably darker with Books 4, 5, 6 and 7 as the story progresses. Only the first two movies were geared for younger audiences. I don’t have a 3D theater here in CG, so all the movies I see are non-3d

Love the movie. If you can suspend reason and accept the fact that there is a world under the ice it is great.

Hey, I watched this with my kids (who are massive dinosaur fans) about 3 weeks ago. I was actually quite surprised that I liked it as much as them – great production.

Being a dinosaur fanatic, my first reaction: anger! How can they put dinosaurs and mammals together. Then, my pal went to see it and told me it was hilarious. Then I said “what the heck” and went to see it. Almost pe*d myself – especially that squirrel thing or whatever it was. Although the dino-man in my screamed “wrong, wrong”, I really enjoyed the flick! LOL! Thanks for the review!

I just bought it yesterday and watched again, with cartoons and kids shows you have to suspend belief and just enjoy it for what it is.
