Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I agree that Scotty was a little too humorous but maybe he learns to become more serious as he gets older. McCoy was well cast and great as well.

I got to say I loved the film and your dead on with your account. Distorting the timeline was incredibly well done and very, very subtle. I think the casting was also brilliant except perhaps for scotty who seemed to be a bit too jokey and more 2d then the rest of the characters. For me the best casting was Bones, thought he was genius.
