Dragon Blogger Uses BlockBuster Total Access
Posted by: dragonblogger // Category: EntertainmentI have been a member of BLOCKBUSTER for about two years now with the Total Access online DVD rental plan, I even did several free posts on my personal blog about the fact.
One of the main advantages Blockbuster has over its competitor is the ability to take your mailed DVD and exchange it in the nearest store for a free movie rental. This means you have no wait for movies to arrive, you just simply watch, exchange, and watch the next movie from your local store.
To show you how serious I am, this is a snapshot of part of my Blockbuster Online Queue taken as I wrote this post:

You can also use the DVD’s you received in the mail as coupons to discount Game rentals, and some plans have 1 free coupon rental which can be used for a Xbox360, PS3 or Wii game anyway. So imagine this, you pay a plan that costs around twenty dollars but you get a free $8 game rental every month, this means that if you spend more than $12 per month renting movies at blockbuster, you are better off with a Total Access Plan, you can have unlimited movies for less than you are paying to rent them locally. One other thing I like to do is queue movies up while they are still in theaters, so I don’t forget to add them to my movie queue later on.
I typically watch 3-5 movies per week, we are big movie watches in my family. I usually will order movies for my wife and I to watch from the Online service, and when it comes time to trade them in, I let my kids pick out a family or kids movie they can trade and watch. I let my son pick out the Wii Game rental every month with the free coupon as well.
The only caveat with Blockbuster Total Access is that they charge for movie downloads to watch them on your PC, and to be more competitive they need to allow free movie download access for Total Access Plan subscriptions. This is the only area where they aren’t yet caught up to their biggest competitor.
For anyone who lives within a few miles of a Blockbuster store, the Total Access plan is a must in my opinion.
