As most of my readership knows by now DragonBlogger.com became a multi-author blog in October 2010.  During that time I invited writers to join the ‘team’ to become more than just simply guest bloggers looking to expand audience and also gain a backlink or two for their sites.  I have no problem with guest blogging and I still openly accept any writer or blogger who wants to contribute quality articles in exchange for reaching a potential new audience and gaining some fans they can take back with them to their own sites.

I did want some authors however who could establish their own “readership” base here on DragonBlogger.com, writers who could be associated with this site and write often enough so that their name would become common place and they would perhaps gain their own following and commenters who can differentiate between “Dragon Blogger” and the writers.

So before I present who I consider my top writers for the site, I want to point out my experiences with turning into a multi-author blog.

First, because I was paying writers based on a share of my site profits, I didn’t directly hire anybody for a set guarantee.  This means nobody is an employee of DragonBlogger.com and therefore just freelancing for this site.  This means while I had over 30 people sign up to be writers, only about 11 of them ever wrote a single article after signing up and providing me a commitment over email they would contribute.  To further trim that list, only 8 ever submitted more than a single article and then vanished never to be heard from again.  Further still I had two promising writers who submitted more than 4 articles in the first month and then disappeared as well and no longer responded to communications on Facebook, Twitter or email even when simply asking them if they are done contributing.

The writers who did stay however have written some wonderful content for DragonBlogger.com and I consider their contributions an asset to the site as my traffic has increased quite a bit since they started contributing (though it tapered off somewhat after some trends passed).

I would like to present the writers by order of those who wrote the most # of articles first.

Aidy from Aidy’s Poetry

AIDY Dragon Blogger Writers ShowcaseAidy has proven she can write so much more than poetry with her detailed and in depth game and movie reviews that are as good as any I have read on IGN or GameSpot.  Aidy has also branched out to writing more articles about upcoming technology and Internet trends and news as well as taking on some reviews of software or sites that come up.   If you hadn’t had the chance or noticed any of Aidy’s articles yet then I would suggest you visit Aidy’s profile and check out some of her work.

Aidy has written 27+ articles for this site since joining DragonBlogger.com in at the end of January 2011.

Jeevan Jacob John

Jeevan thumb Dragon Blogger Writers ShowcaseJeevan runs a fantastic blog in his own right called TechPupil.com and contributes articles about blogging tips, SEO, Social Media.   Jeevan’s articles are always sure to help bloggers find ways to improve their game or keep them updated on a topic they should potentially look at or implement with their own sites.

Jeevan has written 13+ articles so far for DraognBlogger.com and if you hadn’t had the chance to visit Jeevan Jacob John’s profile yet, then I suggest you do and let him know what you think of his articles.

Victor Salazar

(aka. Metallman)

Metallman thumb Dragon Blogger Writers ShowcaseOut of all the writers who joined the team, I had come across Metallman first when I arrived on his blog while using Entrecard 2 years ago.  I was thrilled when he wanted to join the team as a contributor and he has written several good reviews of companies / software for the site.  His writing style directly engages the reader and he talks to them as if they were there in person with him.   If you haven’t had a chance to read any of Victor Salazar’s articles yet, then visit Victor’s profile and let him know what you think of one of his articles.

Ivin Viljoen

Ivin thumb Dragon Blogger Writers ShowcaseIvin is also owner of the Authopublisher and uses that site to help bloggers and writers learn how to get published.   He signed up as a writer for DragonBlogger.com so that he can share some of his tips for writing, blogging and navigating the online landscape here as well.  Ivin assists with reviews of software, internet and technology news as well when time allows.  If you haven’t had a chance to read Ivin’s articles then visit Ivin Viljoen’s profile and share your feedback on one of his articles.

Persian Poetess

persianpoetess thumb Dragon Blogger Writers ShowcaseThe newest writer to join the team at DragonBlogger.com is another poet herself who enjoys writing Entertainment and video game reviews.  We will be seeing everything from TV Show reviews to Playstation 3 reviews in the near future and she already has her first article published about online gaming etiquette which is a good read for online gamers.

Visit her author profile to learn more to read more articles by the Persian Poetess.

These are the prominent writers on DragonBlogger.com as of late, though you won’t see me going anywhere and I still am doing at least 2-3 articles per week.  I didn’t bring in writers so I could stop writing for the site, I brought in writers because my goal was to increase the number of articles being published this increase is supposed to be from 30 articles per month to 100 articles per month.  I am still trying to establish a posting schedule of at least 2-3 articles per day and am able to achieve this on most days in the last few months.  With DragonBlogger.com having several category/niches I need to make sure I have new and active content in each of the categories so I can’t let it go a week between movie or game reviews, tech news or even blogging tips from being published.

I still have a few regular guest writers who have contributed more than once and they are an asset to the site as well, though as they aren’t on staff and therefore they are not listed in this collection of writers being showcased.

I am always considering writers for a variety of categories and if you want to join the team, I would love to have you.  Writers must be able to commit to at least 4 articles per month and I always need more articles about tech, gadgets, software, game reviews…etc.  I particularly don’t have any writers for Sony Playstation 3 related material and could use someone who can do PS3 game reviews.
