DragonBlogger is now a DoFollow Blog

Hi I was browsing thru some blogs and reading some blogging tips when I chanced upon your site.
Glad to know that you are in a dofollow status. This will be a great help for bloggers like me who are not really stuffed technically to get a good backlink.

The keywordluv and commentluv plugin's by inventing this the bloggers got a huge advantage it really awesome and work's properly.I do like that very much.

After reading the comments here by the other people, Ill give my blog a do follow , and add the keyword plugin, i use comment luv and it rocks!

KeywordLuv and CommentLuv don’t add any additional spam time, in fact because they show a bloggers latest post they benefit and encourage bloggers to post more than regular web site owners.

Great decision I must say - the whole point of having a blog is to create a community of sorts and telling your readers "I want your comments, but you won't get anything out of it" is not the best way to go about it.

Even though I barely get any comments, the spam ratio doesn't seem to be too bad with Akismet installed and dofollow activated. It's great to see bloggers at the higher end of the spectrum not worrying about the superfluous PR and more about user-interaction.

Congratulations on joining the dofollow movement. As a previous poster said I don't think you'll find an increase in spam as the askimet system really stops it getting through.

Glenn, are you saying that you think your PR increased because of outgoing links from your site? I haven't heard that outgoing links hurt your rank but I didn't think they helped it, either. Did you really notice a bump when you added them?

I have added keywordluv to one of my blogs, and have found my comments have gone up 300%. Fantastic. Although you really do need to check on the links that people leave, to make sure your not linking to bad sites. Worth it I think and a great addition to the do-follow blogging movement.

Hi,

I have all of the same plugins in my two blogs. I like the fact that I can be helping visitors to my blogs when they comment and they help me out at the same time.
I just wish people would leave more substantial comments. When I was in the online university they had online discussions and we were required to post substantial content or risk loosing points.
Don't get me wrong, some do leave nice ones...others not so good. But, we take the good with the bad right?

I could be wrong, but I don't think you lose page rank when you give other sites a link. I have been doing some experimenting, and have been using this keyword luv tool to get about five links to each of my sites everyday. I also put about two or three links back out to similar random sites.

I just don't link to the same site I got a link from, because I think google considers that reciprocal links, and devalues them.

Four of the five sites I have been doing this with are on page one, or the top of page two in google. The fifth one isn't there because I made a poor choice on the domain name.

They are all for low volume, and low competition keywords, (3,000 searches mo, 25k exact match sites) but I was never able to get there before with my old tactics.

I'm actually doing some personal testing with many of my blogs right now; dofollow, follow, link out to authority sites, ect ect ect...

The one test I have seen that is really surprising to me was that a blog of mine was on the SERPS on page 2 of Google at position 11.

I noticed that the links where all "follow." Thinking that it would help me I turn nearly 30 of my out going link all to "nofollow"

That was the only thing I did this week to the blog.

A couple days later, my blog is now sitting in position 151. It might have been some other factors, but I find it very interesting.

In response to number 8 there, my understanding is that you can not loose page rank and authority by having links, you just pass the rank on?

Kudos dragon blogger. Very recently only I came to know the existence of such amazing plugins and the benefits one get from using wordpress. My site is an ordinary html built and its more than 5 yrs old. I am planning to revamp it and this time I will definitely pick wordpress so that I can use these plugins in mine too. Hey buddy, I am interested in enabling these plugins for a real estate blog. Can you please throw some light on the moderation time one requires on an average to keep spammers away. I already have a dofollow blog but don't have keywordluv or commentluv enabled. Reading the comments gives some optimistic views but still wanted to know from the blog owner.

These plugins do attract spammers but you just have to moderate them. In the end, dealing with spam is still worth the effort when you have quality comments coming in.

Its a welcome sign that many webmasters are implementing the do follow along with keywordluv and commentluv plugins. Together we will make this do follow movement a great hit and make sure spammers are kept at bay forever. My wordpress blog uses akismet and it takes care of most of illicit comments.

That's a good thing to do as it get's you incoming links from a lot of dofollow search engines and blogs that point to dofollow blogs.
It should help your website rank better in search engines.

I love these plugins and I installed them on all my sites. It's a way to appreciate your readers and at the same time, increase your website traffic and improve your search engine ranking. But, of course, there's always the tendency of attracting spammers, but hey, that's why we Akismet, right?

I've been seeing some many install all three of the dofollow plugins and I can tell you that haven't installed it on one of my own blogs, it really gets you a lot of visitors. BUT... you do get a lot of spammers too.. as long as you do some moderation it should be fine.

Its a trade-off to get some activity and participation on your site! :)

You just need a bit more moderation on your comments and make sure all your plugins are up to date...

I’m interested in using these dofollow plugins but the thing is… will it hurt my website’s SEO? Maybe we will be linking out too much when we use them. What do you think?
