DragonBlogger Joins CMF Ads

Posted by: dragonblogger  //  Category: blogging

I wasn’t filling any ad slots recently in my sidebar and was thinking of trying either Adgitize again or CMF Ads, since I had used Adgitize before about sixteen months ago, I decided to try CMF Ads which I had never used before. I decided to run CMF Ads on all three of my blogs and I deposited five dollars of advertising into the system. One thing I liked is that you can purchase 75 clicks for 30 cents, this seems like a great CPC rate and I am curious to know what kind of return or impact to my site there will be from joining this ad network and participating like I used to on Entrecard?

I was only getting about 100 visits per month from Entrecard anymore, so it barely seems worth keeping it on my blog except I enjoy spending some advertising credits once and a while. I really used to enjoy the marketplace before it became a graveyard of listings where 90% of them are defunct and have no way of being deleted. Was a good concept if the developers would take some time to enhance the marketplace.

I found a wealth of information from two articles on Cornyman’s Money Blog about CMF Ads Network Ads and his responses to me on twitter about how the advertising site works were greatly appreciated. I was considering running a network campaign but after reading his article it seems like you can get a better bang for your buck by doing manual advertising. I haven’t the foggiest how to earn from the program yet, I know there are “Spikes” where you visit the blogs listed in your “Spikes” section and you get .002 cents for each visit, 50 spike visits earns you .10 cents, and before you think this is a waste, remember that you can advertise on many sites for 30 days for a mere .25 cents or less, so doing this could get you whole month ads, intead of doing 100 Entrecard drops for a single day ad.

Meanwhile if you want to jump on my CMF Ads bandwagon, I normally was charging $20 for an ads lot for a month, and entry level sites can’t charge more than .25 cents until statistics build up. This is your chance to get 20,000 pageviews for less than a dollar, purchase slots fast. I am hoping CMF Ads is a good fit for my blogs and I will report how well it works for me as both a publisher and advertiser in the near future.

Oh, so that’s what Spikes are for! :D I have CMF and the only reason I keep it is because a lot of people seem to like to advertise with me for .50, so not bad, I have yet to gain any real revenue though because I just started to get active on that site.. Let me know how it goes.. :)

Thank you, it was one of your blogs that convinced me to join. I am curious to see if I get a traffic spurt from being a part of the network.

Welcome to CMF. :) I joined about a year ago and it’s gone from strength to strength.

I used to enjoy the Entrecard Marketplace too. It’s a shame EC don’t keep their promise to improve it.

Wasn’t this (CMF Ads) the ad network created by someone who left Entrecard? I’m sure I read that somewhere ages ago.

I looked into CMF Ads a while back and forgot all about it. I look forward to reading your update on how you get on with the network.

I don’t know who created it, but so far I can’t really tell if it has increased my traffic flow. Will have to wait until analytics can collect for another week or so.
