Entrecard finally has some new life in the system with the latest owners and they have promptly brought a few changes pretty quickly including the much awaited Entrecard Toolbar for Firefox 3.5. This toolbar makes doing drops and EC purchases easier and helps people who continue to try and keep their dropping current.
They also implemented an auto approve all ads feature which I like, nothing was more annoying that having to auto approve ads, I will filter them out, but in general anyone who wants to purchase an AD on my blogs will be approved. Entrecard continues to try and keep only relevant and tactful blogs in their system and they keep screening for people who join and remove the EC badge.
Dropping now though only gives an EC credit to the one doing the drop, the receiver no longer receives an EC credit for each drop. This will make it much less beneficial to the high traffic blogs that were collecting lots of EC from having a high visitor drop count.
Marketplace needs some improvements, they need to be able to delete expired listings, and they need to have search functionality as well as “Most recent” put in to each category. It is becoming hard to find your way through the marketplace and I am wasting too much time buying an ad from dead listings.

I was using the “unofficial” EC Toolbar update up until EntreCard actually released the new updated version, I just hope that Ziprunner are going to make EntreCard better than it previously was, though they do still seem to have those mysterious downtimes!

Not only downtime, but their network is slow, the EC badges load slow on pages and it adds lag time to loading blogs because each blog you try to drop hits the EC network first before it redirects to load the blog page, which increases page load times.
