At a very young age, I learned I was addicted to two things. These two things were expressing myself through writing, and making food. One of my favorite foods is a type of desert that is famously made outdoors. It is full of chocolate and marshmallow goodness in between two graham crackers. I am a sucker for S’mores!

Sure the good old fashion Hershey chocolate bar, marshmallow, and graham crackers are good, but the great thing is you can get creative with this treat and make it better! For example, instead of chocolate bar inside of the S’more use a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. Try making a caramel apple S’more by using white chocolate, marshmallow, apples, cinnamon, and caramel spread in between the graham crackers[a]; you can also get different flavor marshmallows, or marshmallows dipped in coconut. I never stop trying to take good old fashion recipes to the next level. Expressing myself through writing is another one of my passions. Just like taking recipes to the next level, I am constantly trying to find more ways to make my writing better. I love blogging, and I will be sharing with you three points that help take your blog and blog posts to the next level. Creativity is key here, but there are a few tricks out there that can help your blog posts stand out and create traffic to your site.

Create Your Own Fantasy Land

Find something you are passionate about, and specialize your blog on that subject; create your own fantasy land! By focusing your blog on a niche topic and something you are passionate about, it will be easier for you to create catching content to create a blog fan base to drive traffic to your site. You should ask yourself, “is my blog focused enough?” If not, find out what hot topics you’re writing about most, the ones you enjoy writing, and make that your specialty. It will then be easy for you to create a fantasy land of amazing content around those topics.

Establish a Strong Foundation

It is extremely important to establish a strong foundation for your site. Many people start their sites on wordpress.com or blogger but almost always have the urge to move their site to their own domain. It only costs $7.99 a year for a custom domain so cough up the few bucks and give your site a more serious feel. Once you have established your site on a domain its a good idea to have a logo created. Logos help give your site a brand. This make you memorable and a site others will return to in the future. 99designs.com and other freelance sites offer tons of services that connections to individuals that can create you an amazing logo for under $100. By establishing a strong foundation you will be ready for the amazing growth you expect out of your blogging efforts.

Go Fishing For Traffic And Take Care Of Your Readers

Once you have your fantasy land established and on solid ground, you can take measures into your own hands to drive traffic to your site. One of the best ways to drive traffic to your site is through guest posting on other blogs and sites that are in your niche. Include links in your posts that point back to your blog, and allow others to link up to your content as well. An additional benefit of guest posting is that the more links your site has, the higher up your site will appear in search engines creating more traffic to your site. Be disciplined on posting content on your site. Once you have your readers hooked, make sure you continue to feed them with more information. Allow them to subscribe to your the comment section on each post, and allow to subscribe to your content via email. Also make sure your site’s content is of the highest quality.

I personally do my best to make sure each posts content is free of errors, by using a grammar checker, and other editing procedures. Reading each post out loud helps me identify mistakes and make my work seem professional. These few tricks can quickly help you take your writing and site to the next level. There is no end floor or ceiling to creativity. Like creating new recipes from old recipes, there will always be new methods to drive traffic to your blog posts. You just need to be daring and great to set yourself apart from the competition.
