Finding A New TV with Screen Sleuth

So I am on a quest to find the best deal and prices on a new Samsung LED TV and have been for a while. Not that I can get one just yet, its more wishful browsing in the hopes that I will get one in the next twelve months or if I find an outstanding price.

This search led me to a website called Screen Sleuth where all they do is list HDTV’s and allow you to search them by screen sizes, brands, price ranges and more. You can quickly and easily browse the Samsung brand and see all the screen sizes and prices ranging from 35″ to 65″ LCD or LED TV’s.

The website automatically compares prices from nearly every major store including Best Buy, Walmart, Overstock, Sony, J&R and more. Just doing a search for an LG 55″ LCD TV I was able to see the variation in prices where it was listed for a thousand dollars more at one store than another. This website is ideal if you are looking for HDTV’s and you want to find the best prices, because it is focused strictly on HDTV’s you don’t have to weed through as many mismatched results that you would get with other shopping search sites.

Flat TV Screen

the flat screens are so much better tha the older versions..
i think samsung is the best out there this days but sony is also great
never say its too big screen...its never too big screen when it comes to tv.

Make sure you measure the space your TV is going into. You might be surprised how much room they take up. Since you are saving up to buy, you should get a 120 mhz tv or the newer 240 ones. The flat TV's have a tendency to lag just like the older flat screen monitors did when watching a video or playing a fast moving video game. Vizio also makes some nice TVs as well.

The new Samsung OLED TV's have 240hz refresh rate and are the sharpest, clearest and brightest.

I probably watch about 6 hours of TV shows a week plus about 4-5 movies per week.

Pretty good data provided by Screen Sleuth. The 5 series and the 6 series seems to pretty costly. I dont think I can afford that much for a LED HD TV. Just out of curiosity I checked for Tv's priced more than $3000 and I was shocked. There was a listing of Pioneer TV for $6499.98 !!! Whooooof More than Samsung models. Can any body tell me what is there so special about it.
