As an avid fan of NBC Heroes I fault the network for choosing to pit the 4th season premiere up against House which airs on Fox. Both shows are very good, but House is in a league of its own and it shows by House bringing in 16.5 million viewers last week opening 14% higher than the previous year.

Heroes however came in fourth last on Monday September 21st with only 6.5 million viewers, falling 46% from last years season premiere. Nearly 50% of its viewership were lost and I am sure a good portion were watching House instead. Though NBC ordered and promised a full season of Heroes this year, it is unlikely the show will last another season unless it can pull in lost viewers.

I for one am hoping the show can pull a rabbit out of the hat, and am hoping the show will recover but the odds are becoming slimmer and it would take a Micah to alter television sets everywhere on Monday night to recover at this point.
