The iPad can be a great device for bloggers with the right kind of iPad apps. Good iPad apps can make blogging via iPad as simple as blogging from a personal computer. However, the key part is to choose the right apps out of hundreds of choices available. The following is a list of some of the best iPad apps for bloggers that may help to make the right choices.

BlogPress

BlogPress is a paid iPad app exclusively created for bloggers. It includes unique features that enable the bloggers to publish or edit their posts any time. It offers features such as YouTube integration, HTML inserts, and a photo uploader. Now you can easily blog on the run or update your blog sitting on a bench in a nice mall.

Pingdom

Pingdom iPad app connects the blogger to the Ping Dom account, and sends a notification whenever the blog service is down. The app is available as a free download from iTunes.

Evernote

Evernote is among the popular free iPad apps that allows the blogger to write new content, add tags, collate new information, and enables browsing of files and images in the notes. The blogger may also create audio notes with this app.

The Early Edition is a paid app that serves as a virtual newspaper delivered to the iPad users via RSS. It allows bloggers remain updated with the latest news and updates. You may need some glasses for that one!

This is a highly useful iPad paid app for professional bloggers. It lets the blogger perform various functions such as browsing, uploading and download blog files from the FTP server from any location. It includes a built-in browser that allows the blogger to view the changes made without having to exit the app.

StumbleUpon for iPad

StumbleUpon is gaining in popularity due to its highly addictive nature to simply display something cool based on the topic or category of interest. Many bloggers realize the power of StumbleUpon traffic and recommendations and this app allows you to Stumble acting as it’s own browser around the application. For free you can stumble and find great stuff to read, comment on, submit and interact!

Certainly all these applications can be very useful for all bloggers. Actually, they will make this process more simple.

I personally use Evernote, Wordpress, StumbleUpon and Dropbox most of all. I do lots of iPad app reviews and being able to move the photo's between the iPad and PC with Dropbox is awesome.

What is the benefit of apps for the ipad. Does it really make it easier then just going to the normal website. I get it for phones as the screen is so small, but the ipad is not much smaller then my computer screen.

RSA Course Depends on the app, especially for dropbox which just lets you instantly select photo's and sync. Other apps allow you to do tons of stuff in draft without an internet connection, the Wordpress and Evernote app for examples you can type all your draft documents while your iPad has no internet connection and just sync when you are connected to a Wi-Fi network. You can't get this from only using "website" version of applications.

Dragon Blogger Thanks for your reply. That is very handy to know. Very cool that you can do things without an internet connection. Now I see the massive advantage for those who are traveling and going in and out of internet access. Like the other day when I was on the local ferry and my internet connection on my mobile kept dropping in and out.

RSA Course When I was on a cruise ship out of Rome a few months ago, I used my iPad 2 for 7 days straight without any Wi-Fi or Internet connection at all. I played games I had preloaded, I watched movies and the 3 episodes of Games of Thrones I preloaded and I wrote 23 blog posts in that time frame which I uploaded to my blogs when I got back to land and had a Wi-Fi connection again.
