Ted Murphy the CEO of IZEA creator of SocialSpark, PayPerPost, WeRewards, InPostLinks, Sponzai and SponsoredTweets among other programs very quickly released an update on IZEA’s website to address the Direct Publishing questions people had about the new SocialSpark 2.0.

The primary question was security concerns over allowing SocialSpark to have ATOM RPC ability to publish posts directly onto your blog (or in the  case of blogger authorizing SocialSpark via OATH to publish directly to your blogger blog).

Ted also goes on to explain the transparency to FTC and the ability to ensure that Advertisers cannot “reject” opps after they have already been published, since they must approve the opportunity before it goes live is a very important factor in SocialSpark needing to validate, approve the opp before it publishes.

The fact that you can create a separate wordpress account and then use a plugin to restrict the account to just a contributor account, should alleviate fears that SocialSpark can cause any sort of administrative damage to your blogs. Because you can disable, delete or revoke the account from being to publish to your blog at any time, it is highly unlikely IZEA will do anything uncalled for.

But this makes me wonder about another potential service that IZEA can offer, maybe the ability to pay a per month or per post basis just to publish “Guest posts” on behalf of Advertisers based on a category or topic you predefine. Imagine the simplicity if Sponzai where to use this feature where you have to pretty much manually cut/paste the exact post already, you could just approve with 1 click and the post is published and you get paid. There are advantages to this Direct Publishing method and the ability to have advertisers write posts and you get paid just for letting them be published is something that saves bloggers time and earns them some money.

I see additional features and product offerings that can come as a result of the Direct Publishing and am looking forward to seeing how it will be implemented and used.
