I must admit I have been a huge fan of KungFu Chess since I first played it back in 2002 from shizmoo games and I was pretty good at it, I would play five to ten battles a day for months on end, and eventually I stopped playing except for every few weeks, then every few months.  I just figured I would play the other night and I learned to my dismay that shizmoo games and KungFuChess.com sites are down and have been since December 2008.  Nothing but a blank white page with a link to something else exists now.

I sure hope that they are rebuilding and plan on releasing a new and improved KungFu Chess, it is kind of mysterious how such a popular game just vanished without a trace.  For those of you who don’t know, KungFu chess is a variation of chess where you can move all pieces simultaneously in real time.  But after you move a piece, it has a recharge time before it could be moved again.  All pieces move like standard chess pieces, but there are no real turns.  It is a fun game where you bait other people to try and take your pieces, while you move out of the way and capture them instead.

I will miss KungFu Chess dearly.
