Technologically, Architecturally and Cosmetically the Oasis of the Seas is going to be by far something that changes the cruise industry.
According to Royal Caribbean:
“The Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas will begin sailing on December 12, 2009 and will the be largest and most innovative cruise ship in the industry. The Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas will span 16 decks, encompass 220,000 gross tons and carry an amazing 5,400 cruise passengers. The Oasis of the Seas will sail from her home port of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and embark on 7-Night Eastern & Western Caribbean cruise itineraries.”
I have been reading information about this ship which basically has an open deck plan and has a huge mall like shopping center mid ship. It feels like a huge hotel on the water, more so than any other cruise ship that currently exists. I have been on Royal Caribbean and Carnival cruises and my family does enjoy cruises.
Seriously, we hope to one day take a cruise on this unique vessel that appears to be as glamorous as any New York City hotel floating on the ocean I assure you.

Was on this ship last week. WOW is all I can say. I’ve been on other ships but this was my best experience. Maybe its because the ship and staff are new but everybody seemed so friendly and there was a real party atmosphere on board.
