Link Popularity Check: Does not work with Windows 7 64 Bit
Posted by: dragonblogger // Category: Windows7, bloggingOne of my favorite free programs for checking backlinks on the web was Link Popularity Check which I learned this past weekend does not function on 64 bit Windows 7, it installs but errors with the following messages when trying to switch to “English” or adding a site:
Alas, I will have to find a new freeware program to keep track of my online backlinks on the web, this was my favorite program. I had tried to contact the developers, but there is no contact me or support link on the product website at all.

I have just moved to Windows 7 2 days back, I am facing some problems trying to find out what is working and what is not!
But I think I will not go back to Vista, but I have my old laptop just in case I need something, it’s good always to have more than one computer!

My only issues are 64bit vs 32bit some of my items don’t have drivers for 64bit OS, the other thing is I get feedback on my USB audio, that wasn’t there in Vista, Audacity can do noise filter which helps, but it takes extra steps.

That’s kind of lame… hopefully issues such as that one can be fixed. Let us know what you decide to use as an alternative to Link Popularity Check.

I’m sorry you can’t access that program anymore since it’s one of your favorites & obviously helpful to you.
I was inspired to download it and that was a mistake! lol – Big fat 0, even though I know a few places link to me. My site is pretty new, though so maybe it takes a while to show up.
