I just sent you an email as you requested below. However, I just happened upon this particular comment you made.

The manual issue is a huge one for me, as I described in the email. The biggest concern, beside documenting cutomizations and ensuring porting from theme to theme, is simply forgetting that something HAS been customized. I never uninstalled TweetMeme, so I was scratching my head and making assumptions about how the retweet button was shoing up! LOL (I blamed it on Twitter Tools, but could find no reference to it in TT docs or on its setup page.)

I’ll probably experiment with plugins a bit, since I’m less likely to screw them up, down the line.

But send me an email to contactme[at]dragonblogger[dot]com and I will send you the code that should append the RT @ username to the tweets. This code calls the script on Tweetmeme site, so maybe something new is needed.

I don’t use Tweetmeme button any longer, even though I liked that it used Bit.ly I prefer the official Twitter button. The code is easier to manipulate and button loads faster.

Hmm, I was going to check out the format of your retweet via TweetMeme, but now I just see the “official” Twitter button.

Since it is so easy to get code snippet from websites, and equally as easy to just insert them into your single.php or index.php right before or after content. I always prefer to do things manually than use a plugin if possible. Glad you found this site via Google search.
