Microsoft Word 2007 – What happened to cut and paste?
What has happened to Microsoft Word 2007 that when I try to type in some notes for a blog, then I cut and paste those notes in WordPress, all sorts of HTML and ugly meta data tags get spewed into my WordPress blog that were taken from Microsoft Word. This is a very annoying feature, so I have dumped Microsoft Office for pre-typing my blogs and instead use TextPad. But Textpad cannot bold, italic or do other formatting, so I have to add an extra step when I copy/paste my work from TextPad to WordPress for my post.
This led me to thinking, what do my fellow bloggers do when they have time to write blogs, but don’t have Internet access to post them? Do you use Notepad, Wordpad, Word, or is there any other freeware or open source software you use out there that works at writing blogs for easy cut/paste posting later?
Feel free to leave me a comment or shoot me an email at contactme@dragonblogger.com and let me know what is your most efficient way to pre-write a blog, then post it in WordPress. I don’t type my blogs directly in my WordPress post, it usually takes me long enough that if I click submit, my blog post vanishes and saves as a draft, and no matter how many times I press publish, it never publishes. This involves me creating a new post, cutting and pasting from the draft, then clicking submit immediately to get a post in. I don’t know if anyone else has this problem with WordPress, but it does seem quite common with me.
So as a result, I never type my blogs directly into WordPress, I always type them into a text program first, then cut/paste into WordPress to save time, and to keep all my information should my browser crash, or my post not save…etc.
Again, please let me know what you all use, so I can get some more efficient tips.
Thanks in advance and good luck blogging to everyone.
