So I got tired of using Windows default calc tool, too easy to make a mistake and unable to go back through your typing history to see what your original numbers were. I did a quick search online and found a really nice free replacement called FreeCalc by Moffsoft. It essentially looks and feels exactly like Calc, except it has a tape on the side which shows your history of all your math, and you can print off this history if you need it.

It will also do Square Root at the touch of a button, the only thing it lacks is the Scientific Calculator, as sometimes I need to translate numbers into binary or hex on occasion.
Still I don’t do those often, and for the basic every day math this calculator works just fine.

It also is resizable so you can make it smaller or larger as you need to.

If you don’t like using Windows Calc, and are looking for a free replacement, give Moffsoft Freecalc a try, I like it and will use it from now on.
