New versisons of linux became similar to Microsoft. Easier to use. I will try this software when I install Linux. Currenty I just have M.S. Windows.

They just came out with Songbird 1.0 today. It doesn’t have video support yet, but at least its one step closer

#1) Songbird is not in fact developed by Mozilla. It simply uses their framework.

#2) Songbird is still in beta and does not yet support videos, however that functionality and more will be added in future releases. They have a schedule on their site of when what features will be added, and video support is huge in upcoming.

Songbird also works for Gutsy Gibon, and it can be used as your default media manager. It can play audio files and replace Amarok or any other jukebox you use. So it is worth checking out just for that.

One of the best features of songbird is its extremely fast and accurate search. As you type any word it scans all songs in your library for matches and catalogues them into album, artist and title.

It is worth checking out just for that feature alone which makes it better than Amarok or one of the other programs as a media player.
