I am trying to promote my brand “Dragonblogger.com” lets face it even though I am a blogger, I am selling a product and that is myself and my posts. I have heard very often that bloggers should have business cards and I intend to order some very soon, but I also think that leveraging promotional business gifts may be a cool way to increase traffic and awareness of your business, whether you sell products, services or are just promoting your blog.

You can order custom logo put on just about any type of product and then you can giveaway those items as part of a promotion, either locally or as prizes in your blog or website. You just have to think about what useful item would people want to enter and win and keep around so that they will see your business log and might actually hit your site. I don’t know if mousepads are a good idea, as laser mice don’t really need mousepads anymore and I haven’t used a mousepad in years since the ball based mice. But you can get an item that fits into the same category as your business. If you sell automotive parts, you customize your logo Key Chains, Ice Scrapers. I think Car Decals or Stickers are very good if people use them you actually get alot of a passerby traffic who may view it. But you would really have to have a cool logo, business or have someone who really likes your company to just put a company sticker on a car bumper.

Mugs is another option, but probably done to death since everyone has at least a half dozen mugs already. Regardless of what you choose, learn your market and decide what may work best as a promotional method for what you are trying to sell. For now I will try business cards but I have to hand them out locally, which means I have to go out, which I don’t do so not sure how good that is.
