This show seemed to have so much potential but seemed to jump the shark after a few successful seasons just like Lost and Weeds did.

2 small corrections:
Nikki was indeed infected with the Shanti virus but that’s not what she died from, she died when the house exploded while saving Micah’s cousin.
Also, the German escapee didnt have Telekinetic powers, but rather some sort of Magnetic ability.

I know, her regeneration is inconsistent at best but I think she would regrow her scalp, it just takes more time, and its faster when the part is re-attached.

I think its kind of like how “Trolls” are in Dungeons and Dragons, they can regrow limbs and severed hands/heads over a week or so, but if the stump is re-attached it heals instantly.

You’re probably right that even severing the head would be ineffective.

Angela Petrelli had a vision in S3E1 that showed, among other things, a decapitated Claire. I can’t remember who had done it (impression I got was that it wasn’t Sylar) but whoever did it was dragging Claire’s body away from her head. I’m guessing that while her head may not regrow (like her toe) it can be reattached, in the same way that the top of her skull was.

Actually, that raises another question – If her toe grew back a few moments after she cut it off, why didn’t her skull grow back over while Sylar was messing about with her brain? Her body has suffered much more extreme trauma in the past and it’s always healed almost immediately.

Damn this show, every question raises 10 more.
