Review Of MagNext Virtual Online Game
MEGA the makers of Mega Bloks, MagNext and other great imaginative and creative kids products has put out a virtual online game called MagNext Virtual. This game is geared for younger kids and has combines some basic game types like problem solving, with collectible items (changing your orb color, style, design)
The game has a very easy How To that pops up the first time you play the game:
I created an account for my younger son who is only five years old and he was playing around bouncing the orb to various locations. Though he can read some words, the game still needs about a 2nd or 3rd grade vocabulary level to be able to play without assistance in my opinion. I helped my son navigate around the various rooms on the planet.
The most fun part of the game is the Arena, where we had our first arena battle against another opponent. These games are setup as competitions with you competing in a speed match against your opponent. You have to enter the series of “arrows” in the correct order faster than your opponent to win. There are several rounds you must win in order to beat the match.
Once we won we collected some coins where we can go to the shop and buy custom paint jobs, or extra actions that your orb can perform. Most of these are for various communication or cosmetic effects you can perform on screen.
- Final Summary:
This game is exactly what it is designed for, a little entertainment game for younger kids that will keep them coming to the site once and a while and chat with some others who play. Compete and customize their orb, the main purpose is to just keep Magnext and the MEGA brand in the kids (and parents) minds and the game is good at that. It is clean fun and is a site you can trust your younger kids to be on that won’t make you worry.
