Disclaimer: This was a sponsored post, commissioned by company.com. I was compensated to learn about the service and share information about Rock The Post with my readers. The words and opinions are mine and mine alone.
So I spent some time learning about Rock The Post and what it is all about and found the idea very intriguing and worth investigating further. Rock The Post is basically a site that brings ideas and resources together. You have an idea, such as a project and you create a post where you are looking for either investors or pledges (time/skillsets…etc) and bring people in to help you flush out your project.
This could be used for any category and has several applicable purposes. As a blogger I could see using Rock The Post to see if anybody wants to invest in a contest in the future, or even contribute to my site.
Creating a Post
So I Rock The Post it for a spin and created a post looking for people willing to donate time to do video game reviews. You can specify whether you want people to donate money, time or resources to a project.
Searching for Ideas
This site has potential in it’s idea and already has had some successful projects which included money pledges, and time pledges. The site is still in Beta however and they are trying to get the word out. There are very few projects/idea’s listed on the site at the time of my review but it is very encouraging.
I think Rock The Post could be a good place to bring people with ideas and people looking to join a project or cause together. I do plan on doing a few different posts like looking for sponsors for an upcoming contest as well as maybe anyone wanting to contribute articles to my site just to see if I get anybody willing to pledge time for it.
When creating a post you also have the ability to link to a YouTube video or upload a document with more details. You specify the duration you want your post to stay active for as well.
So if you have an idea or a project and want some people to take a look and possibly fund or pledge time or resources, take a gander at Rock The Post and see if you can rock a project.
