My friends over at BlogNetAwards enjoyed my “How to vote” video demonstration and asked that I create another demonstration showing bloggers how they can add a BlogNetAwards widget to their wordpress blog. This widget gives a direct link where visits can click and go directly to your blogs nomination page to vote, but also by hosting this widget you are entered in the BlogNetAwards database and are given 3 entries into the monthly comment contest just for hosting the widget. This increases your chances of winning the $150, $100, $75 or $50 cash prizes every month.
For those who don’t want to watch the video you can just follow the written instructions under the video:
- Go to http://www.blognetawards.com/wp-admin
- Login with you blognetawards account or register an account
- Click on “My Profile” on the dashboard homepage
- Click on My Widget under “My Profile”
- On this page enter your blog URL in the top field
- Enter your BlogNetAwards Nomination URL in the 2nd field (if you have a blog nominated) if you don’t have a blog nominated, you can still host the widget and get the 3 entries per month.
- Click Submit
- You will now be shown a piece of code
- cut/paste the code
- Open your blog wordpress dashboard
- click on widgets
- edit your existing “text” widget or add a new “text” widget
- Paste your code
- Save your changes
- Check your blog site
- Remember to check your email and activate your widget after you install it, this is so it is confirmed and you are get the credit entries in the BlogNetAwards Database.
