Opera Mini A Solution To My Blackberry Problems

My new blackberry had trouble getting the Blackberry Browser to work, it just didn’t allow me to open any sites and nothing I do, downloaded or configured would work.  I was never really a fan of the Blackberry Browser anyhow, was just figuring I was stuck with it.  I found online the Opera Mini browser has a version for the Blackberry and proceed to download it for my PC and transfer over and install it via the Blackberry Desktop Manager.

I was pleasantly surprised to see how poweful and full featured this browser is.  Whereas the Blackberry Browser would cut out certain images, scripts and backgrounds, the Opera Mini browser displays all of my web pages in full clarity zoomed out, but then you can zoom in to any specific portion of the page and use the 2,4,6,8 keys to navigate around the page pretty rapidly.  The sites look amazing on the Blackberry screen and the only thing I think is a slight issue is web sites tend to take longer to load than the Blackberry Browser on my old Blackberry.

With the ability to import bookmarks, save new bookmarks, zoom in and out, in addition to scrolling around I would recommend anyone using a Blackberry to ditch the default browser that comes with it and give Opera Mini a try instead.   Or, if you like something else let me know, I am always curious to know what other software is out there for Blackberries that I haven’t stumbled across yet.
