Getting Your Blog Into Online Directories
By: dragonblogger // Category: Consumerism, Entertainment, TV Show Reviews, blogging // 1 Comment »This blog is about blogging and technology and I consider myself rapidly growing into a successful blog. I try new and different methods of increasing my blog’s reach and popularity and that includes doing unpaid and paid submission of my site to online directories. I have experimented with a few paid ones over the last few months and I am about to try Directory Maximizer.
Directory Maximizer allows you to submit your site to directories, over one thousand directories which is more than virtually any other pay directory service. Unlike other directory services they slowly submit to various links over a period of 5 weeks to prevent the common Google trap where you get dinged if your site shows up on X # of links in one day. They also can submit your site to specific targeted PageRank directories and sites.
One of the great options is you can keep it as ongoing maintenence, if your blog brings in steady income you can have the service setup to submit your site to 100 directories every month for 12 months, and the site has great reporting to avoid duplicates for future orders.
As you know, you want to submit a unique blog page for each submission, don’t submit your homepage over and over, it is better to submit your most popular and well written posts to directories. Your homepage should come first, and then individual “golden” posts should be done to help keep your blog gaining popularity and influence.
I decided to register an account which only took a moment:
And I am going to be adding my blog today. I will write a follow up in a few weeks to let you know if my links increased and if my PR is affected by using this service. I think everything is worth a try especially if you are using your blog income to help fund your blog promotion and advertising.
