As many of my readers know on my tech blog, I am a poet and write a poetry blog called WandererThoughts.com occasionally I like to showcase new poetry here on Dragon Blogger in the hopes that people are interested and decide to check out more of my poetry.

I do a daily random twitter poem as well, where every weekday I take a random word from various twitter users and craft a custom poem including those words. Poems range from 6 – 15 words and possibly more depending on how many submissions I get.

Passion and Play

Kicking off this evening with playful mockings
You adorn yourself in body stockings

Roleplaying ensues without any rules
Our bodies are our only tools

A prince to save this damsel in distress
Fantasies like diamonds, I must confess

Dreams of skin laced with sweat and cloth
Drinking your lips and savoring this broth

Passions here come out to play
In each and every possible way

My body is yours and yours is mine
This passion described simply as divine

I have a soft spot for romantic love poems (I do write my own love poetry by the oodles on Wanderer Thoughts), and my 2nd love is for Dungeons and Dragons and the whole Fantasy Genre.  So I was contacted by Arch-ing and browsed the blog and found one of the most beautiful poems and the most enchanting image to accompany it.

Here is the poem reprinted from Arch-ing called My Tender Arms, I am including the picture.

My Tender Arms

Ease and comfort we do share
Beside each other in your lair

Watchful are you every day
Help my life become what may

Sword to guard and chase the fool
Away from me just like a tool

Warm air circles as I sleep
Dragon’s breath soft and sweet

Never go too far away
Keep me near is what I pray

Skin to skin we rest all night
Tomorrow brings another plight

I will love the creature’s charms
He will love my tender arms

I didn’t know until today that Dragonfly Poems had submitted my Guest Blog post with 3 poems to the WOOF Contest for September 19th.  Well I just found out today from about 6 blogs that my Poems were selected as one of the top 5 picks for the week of September 19th.

How cool is that that one of my Guest Posts about poetry on a friend’s blog actually won a contest.  I was happy to submit my poem to Dragonfly Poems, and I will be doing more Guest Blog posts there in the future.
