The tablet has been doing wonders for the technology giant with Apple now threatening to surpass even the world’s largest PC manufacturer, Hewlett-Packard, in the year 2012 according to a recent survey. And guess what even the CEO of HP agrees to the fact that the iPad has been a revolution in the computer market, with people preferring to use the iPad instead of a personal computer.

The tablet has not only showed a new way to connect with people, it has also created a number of opportunities for thousands of application developers who have been cashing on the tablet’s popularity. In a recent press conference, Microsoft has been talking about the company’s plans to bring the Office utility applications on the iPad as well as the Mac OS X Lion platforms. Until now, the iOS as well Mac OS versions have been featuring only Apple’s version of iWork utility software, which have serving the purpose of Microsoft Office apps. But now, with Microsoft showing keen interest to push its applications to the Apple store, it looks like the company wants to grab its share of market in the Apple’s arena.

Microsoft will also include some of the features of its upcoming Office 365 in the mobile version of the application which is expected to be priced in the range of $10 for both iOS and the Mac OS versions.

<img src="http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/312O7GZBacL._SL160_.jpg" title="Apple iPad 2 Tablet (16GB, Wifi,) NEWEST MODEL" height="160" width="160" alt="312O7GZBacL. In fact a lot of people became rebellious and started commenting it out on this thread in Chrome forums. This is not the first time a legitimate program has been marked as a malware, McAfee caused a even more grave issue when it removed a critical windows file (The file it removed is svchost.exe! ) which forced your Windows XP computer go into an endless reboot cycle.

If you are affected

Do not panic , the issue is really easy to fix

Update Microsoft security essentials to the latest version

After updating , Uninstall Chrome , unchecking the Also delete your browsing data button

Now Download Google Chrome AGAIN and install , Chrome is available for download free of charge here .

Enjoy your browser!

Did Microsoft Nuke Chrome intentionally?

It actually might be true! What has Microsoft to gain with Chrome going? Internet Explorer. If Chrome is taken off the computer and if the computer does not have any other browser other than Chrome , then naturally the users will have to use Internet Explorer. Though this seems like it would be a genuine reason, it is really most likely a simple algorithm error and completely accidental as Microsoft wouldn’t risk suffering the backlash of publicly and knowingly attacking another company product especially one as high profile as Google.

Another interesting thing users pointed out was that Chrome was marked as Zeus bot , what’s significant here is that the Zeus is a notorious bot that steals financial information from the target’s computer including PayPal passwords , Credit card numbers and passwords. Chrome has been criticized for sending far too much information about browsing history and what is entered in the Chrome Omnibox.

What do you think about this intentional or not? And do you think Chrome is safe? We would LOVE to hear from you!

<hr \> Microsoft decides Google Chrome is a virus is a post from: Dragon Blogger Technology and Entertainment Copyright 2009 Justin Germino. of Windows 8" width="600" height="366" title="Hands On First Impressions of Windows 8" />

As you all know, Microsoft has introduced Windows 8 in society today . With it has given to those attending the BUILD a Samsung tablet so that we can test the system. We already got to try on day 12, and during this day-something I’ve been using the tablet and testing how it goes.

I must say that Windows 8 has managed the same as Windows Phone 7: get excited , something that Microsoft had achieved so far. The interface is really attractive, easy to use and fast. Despite being only a Developer Preview, Windows 8 is delighted me.

Metro: easy to use, fluid, innovative

Microsoft risked much when he decided to leave the road and create the interface Metro. It could have proved a fiasco, but no. Metro is really sexy and makes you want to tinker with everything.

The idea of the useful live is very good. At a glance you have lots of information, and best of all, you do not saturate. The only bad thing I find the time to Metro is that it costs rather move the boxes from one place to another, there is much drag with your finger.

Metro also love the idea of focusing on the content application . For example, open an application a joy to RSS and instead of a cluttered interface, have the feeds, the things that really matter, and in a very showy. Additionally, the solution of the bottom bar is very good: it allows the options provided in the same place regardless of the application you’re using.

I liked the idea of the charms or side shortcuts. The search is very well made, separating the elements and allowing applications to search through. This is really useful when we look at Twitter, for example. Instead of going to the application, go to the search interface, Twitter and you’re selected. It’s really simple.

The share option is great too, inspired by Android Intents but greatly improved. He is grateful to have only a small popup to share with the interface of the application itself. And, most important, is really useful and helps us share things without developers having to implement every social networking and services.

It is also very good idea integrated file structure . It’s very interesting to look not only between folders, but also between applications. Access my Facebook photos as if one folder is a real joy.

Best of all: it is still Windows

The truth is that I was very surprised when I agreed for the first time Windows desktop 8. You make one click and instantly go back to Windows 7. See the screenshot above: it is virtually nailed. And not only in appearance: Inside Windows 7 remains.

For instance, I have been able to install Flash and Chrome. And they work! Without any problem or inconsistency , as if he were in Windows 7. And if I want, I can go back in time to the interface Metro. This instantly, without realizing it. It is really amazing.

Microsoft has joined the tablet and the computer . With a mouse and keyboard, Windows 8 is a complete desktop system, similar to Windows 7. Using your fingers or stylus, a tablet is excellent and ready to go anytime. There are two systems in one, and switch between them is as simple as switching between two applications.

In addition, the Redmond have worked well some details to facilitate the use of the desktop with fingers or stylus. The buttons are a bit larger and easier to press, and the Ribbon works well on the touch screen.

Performance and flow: good

Despite being a Developer Preview, Windows 8 performance is flawless . The screen response is very good, and applications open at once. The scroll is actually fluid, and the system slows down with many applications open.

Of course, it has some flaws: occasionally goes crazy and starts randomly scrolling, or recognizes a finger on the screen if you’re not pressing anything. But given the state of development are forgivable flaws.

Conclusion: a very good system with many possibilities

Microsoft has done a very good job with Windows 8 . I have not been able to test the synchronization of contacts or email, and missing many features. Still, I am convinced that Windows 8 can be an excellent system, and overcoming street competitors. In tablets, for example, can wipe Windows 8. The system for tablets is very good (Metro), and if you need to spend more complex regular Windows desktop with a button. PC is prepared for many scenarios.

I’ve found some bugs , but still I dare not criticize much because it’s a Developer Preview. The only thing that hits a little is that there are things stuffed with a shoehorn. For example, the start button on the desktop is horribly wrong, and there is a Metro-style file browser. There are also some shortcomings that I guess will be fixed before the final version: no camera application, missing mail applications, contacts and calendar, we can not set up synchronization with SkyDrive …

Need to know how they will carry developers with Windows 8. At the moment already has all Windows 7 applications, but will not do much if things do not appear to Metro. I think the chances are very great, and even more so with the ease of development with Visual Studio 2011.

In short: Windows 8 I loved, and I think many others also like. It has many possibilities, and remember that Microsoft remains a software giant. Of course, we have to wait to see the final version Windows 8 in all its glory. I’m impatient. What about you?

<hr \> <a to update notifications in the background. This can last for days and at the same time, immediately unlocked when you want to use.

The new task manager

In Windows 7 is renewed the task manager , and now they have done it again. The first time you ignite will have the simplified view, it becomes a bit to the administrator of Windows 98: a list of tasks from which we can finish you want.

Clicking on More details is when you see the real task manager. There are detailed processes useCPU , memory, disk and network. We have the typical performance graph that has added the use of disk, WiFi, Ethernet and Bluetooth, and a history of applications of system resources are used.

Moreover, since the task manager can access the applications that run at startup and system services and manage them as we want. A renewal excellent no doubt.

More details: new bootloader, networking and intelligent selection ofUSB 3.0

Windows 8 replaces the BIOS of all life . Now we have EFI , more attractive and more likely. From the start, by keeping down Windows can access Windows options that include a problem solver, reset and / or cleaning of the computer or boot from USB .

In addition, EFI will verify the signature of the PC components. If there is any virus compomente as a memory USB or MicroSD, Windows 8 will not boot, protecting the user from threats.

Another detail is that Windows 8 incorporates an intelligent selection of networks . In case you have several networks that connect (Wifi, Ethernet and 3G), Windows will choose the best performance to give you. And finally, Windows 8 brings native support for USB 3.0, which assures data transfers about four times faster than USB 2.0.

And finally, Windows 8 will bring more safety features, Windows Defender will be responsible for antivirus and other malware, and SmartScreen Internet Explorer web pages. With this, Windows is shielded and probably the virus problem down dramatically over previous versions.

In short: Windows 8 will be faster, use less resources and be more secure. Three of the things that he was required to Microsoft. I think without a doubt, the Redmond are doing a great job.

<hr \> Windows 8 Faster with Better Performance more Security is a post from: Dragon Blogger Technology and Entertainment Copyright 2009 Justin Germino. When a computer is designed and manufactured these days, it doesn’t matter how many bells and whistles are incorporated, or how sleek it may appear to be to the naked eye. Today it all comes down to OS intuition and performance.

Past OS design and coding was centered on the potential or the limitations of existing computer hardware and peripherals. While today’s approach to OS design still takes into consideration key aspects such as processing speed and chipset, OS programming has undertaken a far more user-centric concept. Gone are the days when computer users only cared about powerful desktop PCs. Smartphones and tablet computers are changing the landscape of personal computing. Users are more concerned with the ability of their computing and communication devices to smoothly integrate and synchronize their digital lifestyles.

Microsoft and Apple Computer are the two major contenders in the battle for OS supremacy. With the release of Mac OS X Lion, Apple has shifted its former image as a tech company that strongly focuses on hardware products to one that produces spectacular operating systems. Microsoft, on the other hand, has always been known as a company dedicated to software; particularly its ubiquitous Windows OS. The recent announcement of the codenamed Windows 8 signals Microsoft’s intention to not only solidify its position as an OS market leader, but also to show users that it remains committed to innovation.

Mac OS X Lion and the upcoming Windows 8 share a major design aspect: they both take cues from the respective mobile OS versions. When Apple founder and chairman Steve Jobs introduced Mac OS X Lion last year, he explained that the new release was heavily influenced the iPad’s iOS platform. Microsoft has likewise found inspiration from the mobile Windows Phone 7 to design the new major features of Windows 8. Synchronization across multiple devices and the use of touch screen interfaces are major facets of the current OS paradigm shift; but the similarities and competing features between don’t end there. As it can be gleaned from the following features, Mac OS X Lion and Windows 8 will have a lot more in common.

Graphical User Interface (GUI)

A quick look at the desktops redesigned by Apple and Microsoft point to a new way of organization and interaction. In the case of OS X Lion, a Mac user can easily change the GUI look and feel by running LaunchPad, a feature that changes the desktop into an environment almost identical to that of an iPad or iPhone. In the case of Windows 8, Microsoft has completely redesigned the desktop with the use of Live Tiles, a clean and stylish look currently seen on devices powered by Windows Phone 7 Mango.

Touch and gestures

The advent of onscreen keyboards, touch pads, touch screens and retina displays has not gone unnoticed by either Apple or Microsoft. Their new OS versions take full advantage of the new input technologies by introducing a series of touch and mouse gestures that eliminate keystrokes and simplify complex interactions.

App Stores

Apple has already found success in iTunes and the different App Stores for its Macs and iDevices. Microsoft has already unveiled a prototype App Store for Windows 8. The new marketplace for Windows apps will be prominently featured on the OS Start Screen. Microsoft will not only be able to sell its own software for Windows 8; perennial partners such as Adobe and Intuit are also expected.

<hr \> OS Showdown: Windows 8 vs Mac OS X Lion is a post from: Dragon Blogger Technology and Entertainment Copyright 2009 Justin Germino.
