I have been using Ingboo for several weeks now and have learned more about the website and configuration to present a compelling reason why bloggers and subscribers should be using the service. This is a 2 part series about Ingboo.com and this first part is how to use the service as an end user or blogger who wants to subscribe to various feeds online. The second part which will come in the next few days will be about how to use IngBoo as a blogger or content creator to teach you how to create the most effective feeds for your blogs and content.
Here is my video demonstration on the benefits of Ingboo as a content reader:
IngBoo is much more powerful than your typical RSS reader like Google, Thunderbird and the like and here are some reasons why.
- Not only can you subscribe to a blog feed, but you can subscribe to many feeds at once and get an email update of all your feeds in one shot.
- You can filter your feed so you only get specific “Keywords” that interest you, find a great site but only want articles about “Apple” you can filter and only get Apple updates.
- You can get direct news feeds from CNN, CNBC, ABC and other news sites
- You can get craiglist listings as a feed, if you are looking for a new car or specific item to see if it posts it will show up.
- Twitter keywords, you can follow specific accounts or trends on twitter and turn them into a feed that you can keep up with.
- Job postings and updates from Monster, Yahoo, CareerBuilder and more.
- Better yet, you can turn virtually any content updating site into a custom feed.
All of this from a single reader, where you can just highlight over your feed to see the most recent articles in a pop-up summary.
My friends, if you aren’t using IngBoo as your content reader, you really should give it a try. Click on my “Watch for Updates” button on the right side of this blog, or the Subscribe to DragonBlogger button here and start your Ingboo account.
