It is quite simple and easy to build a custom URL which just has several other URL’s connected, just go to BridgeURL.com and enter your title and URL’s to share:

The next think you do is share your URL that you are provided on your Social Media networks or website.

When somebody clicks on the URL it will load the first page in the URL list and then have a Previous and Next Page buttons on the left and right side of the screen respectively.

In my own testing the pageload time was a little slow when loading my custom URL of http://bridgeurl.com/Dragon-Blogger-Top-Articles but I wasn’t sure if it was a glitch in my own page load time or how the BridgeURL application builds the links.  One other thing to note is that BridgeURL requires that the site support iFraming which rules out any site with https:// or some application sites that don’t support framing.  Still for the majority of the blogs this is a unique way to showcase your top articles on your site by sending out one link on Twitter or your social networks and the reader can page through your broadcast link.

I think the BridgeUrl service is a good idea and has some merit provided it can handle the load of increased traffic and improve initial pageload times, it is a decent way to potentially share some of your favorite article round ups with your social media networks.

I was quickly able to pull up 187 pages of registered twellow users who listed their location as Mesa, Arizona alone.

One thing I also like about Twellow over WeFollow is that it gives you instant access to the users twitter profile page by clicking on the “name on twitter” link.  This makes it easier to follow people directly from their twitter homepage, I tend to not like doing follows through a 3rd party application (WeFollow only brings you to the WeFollow profile page of the user and asks you to follow from there, there is a lag between doing follows from 3rd party applications sometimes and you aren’t always sure if the follow worked).

When signing up, Twellow directory allows each twitter account to list up to 10 categories that their account can fall under, and I highly recommend that if you are a public twitter user who is looking to be added to directories to get traffic and searches you sign up for Twellow.com and add yourself to the directory.  Make sure you list yourself in 10 categories and you have to actually verify and validate your categories.

Bottom Line:

If you are looking to get your twitter identity listed in an online directory so you can be found or are looking to find categories of twitter users or users based on location, Twellow is an excellent twitter directory and is the Yellow Pages of twitter. My only complaint is that the site is fairly slow and probably needs to be beefed up to support the amount of traffic and querying it does.

I saw a tweet on twitter about the Twit Robot tool and I decided to log into the application and give it a test, as I like writing about all twitter apps, tools and utilities that I find online.

I decided to check the Mass Follow tool and entered one of my twitter friends and selected Follow All, the please wait pop-up came up and I waited a patient 5 minutes before I clicked “Enough”. I don’t know if it worked, and I thought the tool was pretty lacking compared to some other’s that mass follow as a result of the 30 max limitation based on the free usage, and the tool took so long, I didn’t know if it was compiling a list of followers or actually trying to follow people.

The auto update tool was interesting and a feature I hadn’t seen on other sites yet, it basically allows you to post either random messages or custom messages at set intervals. While I think this feature is better suited for companies or people using their twitter profiles to promote their products, it still is an interesting feature. Do note though that TwitRobot will insert one of their ads into your tweets once per day if you use the free Twit Robot plan.

Summary:

Overall Twit Robot has some useful features but can’t compare to some larger free tools like Hootsuite and others, the Mass Follow feature is too limited and you are left wondering if it worked at all. The Auto Posting is unique and will help companies promote products, but as a blogger I don’t recommend you let a service auto tweet random messages for you that you have no control over the content, regardless if you can select its genre or topic. The fact that you can your own list of custom tweets is pretty useful however, if you want to plug specific posts every so often or perhaps promote some CPC product opps you have taken on SocialSpark, but I would rather use TweetLater or HootSuite for setting my queued tweets so I can control how often they are run, and when they will stop.

It also allows you to create counters you can display on your blogs which I put on all 3 of my major blogs, much better to see I have over 300 twitter followers.  You can also see the Top 100 people on twitter based on the number of followers.

It is a nice website with a simple counter you can download, and I didn’t realize but according to Twittercounter I have been growing by about 8 followers per day. I find it awesome that people find me amusing enough to read what I say and talk about. That is the whole reason why I love blogging, is that there is an audience for almost everyone out there.
