Tips for Getting People to Comment on Your Blog

I ran across a great article titled What to do when no one is commenting: 10 tips that I highly recommend to my readers and fellow bloggers who run blogs.

This article talks about ways to deal with posts that don’t happen to incite any comments, and how to improve or tailor your blogging routine and tactics to help bring in more comments and interest in your blog articles.

The article is very well written and I agree with all 10 bullet points on things to do, especially when it comes to interacting with your readers by responding to comments and approving them quickly and setting specific post schedules instead of posting articles at random times.

Many of the topics you may have touched on or read before, but this article puts it together well.

Some articles are hit and miss, it always surprises me to see which ones people comment on and which they don't - it's never the ones I expect.

But I can learn from what type of tone I had during the ones which they did, adapt it for future posts.

Nice share, i never knew posting on weekends only can affect. With so much to do a times a leave content till weekends, but i know my visitors have known that because my traffic still increases.

HI Biodun - One interesting thing is that it really depends on what's going on over the weekend. If I post during the week but do some commenting, stumbling, etc. over the weekend, I do notice traffic coming. So it's about looking at everything as a whole.

And I noticed it's a give and receive kind of thing.

Thanks for the link to that article, I'm learning new stuff left and right! I especially liked tip 4 on there, it really made me stop and think for a second about just how much time I'm putting into worrying about social bookmarking, when I could be spending some of that time on writing new content. LOTS of stuff to learn, I'm learning lol :D
