Topsy – Social Media Search Engine
Through a pingback on my blog, I noticed a website called Topsy. It turns out that Topsy.com is a Twitter Search Engine on steroids. This search engine doesn’t just search tweets, but also shows you the articles from relevant news sources that the tweets are referencing. Not only does the search engine show you the news article, but shows you the most recent tweet related to it and the total number of times it was tweeted.
To test it out I did a search for the word Tornado, and came up with these results:
This may change the face of searching, because you aren’t just searching for optimized SEO pages, but are actually getting search results based on what users are talking about. This makes Topsy ideal to search for trending topics, breaking news, popular culture and other things that are talked about often on twitter.
Topsy search definitely has some features that Google should be putting in their search engine if they haven’t already.
If you haven’t tested the search engine out, you should give it a go. I was suprised at how useful it can be.

Well i think both the things are totally different. I think social media is the only thing through which you can get a chance to connect to the world. Here you can get the lots of services. It is very sad that most of the people think that social media is a chat only.
