TwiMailer – Learn More About People Who Follow You
I did a search for twitter applications and learned of one called Twimailer, this service will basically server as your twitter email address and send you updates when you get new followers. Instead of the generic twitter messages showing that you have a new follower on twitter, with some information about the number of followers they have, you instead get a full list of information and recent tweets from the person who follows you.
In addition to seeing the number of followers and the last several tweets from your new follower, you are also presented with three options at the end of the email “Follow Back”, “Block User”, or “Report As Spam”, which is also very helpful and saves you time if you want to reciprocate the twitter follow.
No doubt about it, I signed up for the TwiMailer service and it started working within minutes, I now see much more detailed information about the people who follow me and it allows me to craft reply to the user without having to visit their twitter profile to see what they are saying, I have it all handy and right in front of me.
There is no reason that I can see that you shouldn’t use TwiMailer if you use twitter, unless you turn off your follower updates and you just don’t care to get the notifications.
