Twitter Link Is A Nice Plug-in for WordPress
Posted by: dragonblogger // Category: Internet, Technology, bloggingI was broadcasting on twitter that it would be nice if there was a plugin that automatically converted @twitterID’s to hyperlinks back to a user’s twitter account. Like @dragonblogger would automatically become a hyperlink back to my twitter account. Joost de Valk who writes plug-ins for wordpress and looks to be quite a knowledgeable PHP coder answered my tweet and said he could write something real quick. We worked back and forth with him sending me a few samples and me installing and testing them. Thus Twitter Link was created and is a remarkably simple plug-in. I was so impressed that Joost wrote the plug-in for me I kicked him back a paypal donation for his efforts and encourage everyone else to do the same if you use any one of his plug-ins.
I went to Joost’s website and see that there are a bunch of wordpress plugins on Yoast including Google Analytics, Tweetbacks, Bread Crumbs, Blog Metrics and much more. One of particular interest is Users to CSV which can convert everyone who has commented and output them to a CSV file so you can built an mailing list from their email addresses. This one I will be using on my blogs I am pretty sure.
