TwtAd Another CPC Program For Twitter
Thanks to a comment from BlogPandit I learned about TwtAd which is another CPC program for Twitter (CPC being cost per click, where you get paid based on the number of clicks received based on a link you posted). So I decided to see what it was all about, I knew about Magpie which is a service which automatically posts advertisements at set intervals to your Twitter account and didn’t really like the idea because you had no control over what content was posted.  SocialSpark had a great CPC program that augments your blog CPC with the ability to post CPC links on Twitter and Facebook and all promotion methods increase your chances of earning.
So I created an account on TwtAd and logged in, some of the things I noticed immediately are the very few and very low quality number of ads on TwtAd at this time. I imagine this will increase as the company becomes more popular, then I noticed that all of the CPC opps pay between .02 and .05 cents per click, this pales in comparison to the .13 and .35 cent CPC links you can get from SocialSpark you would have to get 6x the number of clicks to make the same earnings as an opp from SocialSpark.
Then I noticed though you can choose which advertisements you want to promote, you cannot choose what to say, you the ad posts for you without any ability to change the verbiage of the ad, that combined with the fact that you can only post the same Ad no more than 1x every 3 days and you have a very poor earning potential. SocialSpark allows you to type whatever message you want and just include the CPC link in the tweet, this gives you creative ways to market your program you are advertising.

After seeing all of this, the quality of the ads and the very low CPC payout, I decided not to post an ads at this time sometimes the integrity of your Twitter account is worth more than the $2 or $4 you could earn from posting a generic advertisement.
I think TwtAd has potential to get better, but they need to revamp the site to allow more flexibility in how you post the advertisements, if many people take the same opp and the same message is broadcast from dozens of accounts on twitter it will be easily ignored and give your advertisement little chance of standing out among the others. The ability to craft a unique message with a sponsored link allows you to creatively draw in readers by using your own brand of promotion.
So out of Magpie, SocialSpark and TwtAd, by far SocialSpark has the best CPC program of the bunch. The only problem is that SocialSpark is primarily for bloggers and at this time you can only take CPC programs if you have an approved blog. So even if you wanted to tweet CPC on twitter, you need an approved blog on SocialSpark to do CPC on twitter.

On SocialSpark, although I agree with your high level statement, I am not being theoretical, I am just quoting facts based on my experience in social media advertising and figures currently running on these non-targeted networks.
On Proxifeed, you can choose to now monetize your feed. If you choose to monetize, they'll base their ads on the topical context you define and they're usually right on the spot. The follower base seem to appreciate product recommendations made because they are highly relevant to the context, therefore not perceived as noise in the content stream.
