I have talked about some of the great features of HootSuite in one of my previous posts comparing TweetDeck to Hootsuite and if you are interested in knowing why you should be using the Twitter management client, you can read that post for more information on the features and benefits.
For those of you who are interested in checking out HootSuite I did a video presentation demonstrating how to use Hootsuite to manage multiple Twitter accounts, build custom tabs and columns, schedule tweets and more:
With just a few additional feature enhancements HootSuite can be the “one and only” Twitter client that I use, but I do actually leverage Tweetdeck at the same time that I use Hootsuite. I had done a video review of using Tweetdeck previously if you want to see how to use that Twitter client as well.
What do you think of the demonstration? Does HootSuite not offer an amazing array of options and flexibility with columns and tabs?

Do any of these articles or videos show exactly what you use tweetdeck for along-side HootSuite?

No, but I use TweetDeck for my Daily Twitter Poetry game (Hootsuite to build the queued and scheduled calls for words, but I use Tweetdeck to filter the replies and collect the submissions) this is because I can clear the column so I know when new replies come in because only new replies will be there.

Thanks for that. I’ll have to actually look through both to fully grasp what you’re referring too.

Justin, you expanded on the HootSuite 2010 video tutorial, that I did awhile ago. FYI – there was some problems with the audio this time. But it could be on my end because I am testing HTML5 now.
I’m finding that I never like going to the Twitter site anymore to send a tweet. If I retweet someone’s post from which ever plugin they are using I always copy and paste it over into HootSuite.

The TweetMeme plug-in I have installed doesn’t even send you to twitter website, it auto tweets without a popup I think (unless it isn’t configured that way). Topsy is one that many people use as well, I haven’t decided to switch yet. Bit.ly is bit.ly after all. I did listen to the whole video myself and didn’t notice audio issues but I will check again to see if streaming problems.

I read a post about Hootsuite on Kikolani and after reading that I went and joined but for some reason they never sent me my confirmation email, not even after the third attempt so I’ve decided to give them a miss.

Did that as well and still no response. No major drama though, reckon I’ll just stick with TweetDeck
